Key Features:

  • Built on Open Source Capabilities: Vault helps to reduce fears of vendor lock-in. Your data is always protected and remains your data. We simply provide the platform to enable success.
  • Modular: Built from the ground up as modular building blocks composed of Docker-based microservices. Components of the architecture can stand alone or be integrated and orchestrated as needed to fulfill mission requirements.
  • Classification First: Vault treats classification markings as a first-class citizen - enabling storage, protection and user-attribute-based filtering of classified documents at scale without hindering performance. Vault’s classification system integration is compatible with DNI’s Information Security Markings (ISM) out of the box, but can be customized to any classification system a customer may desire.
  • Deployability: Vault is deployable anywhere including AWS or Azure instances, a Kubernetes cluster, hybrid cloud, a secure closed network server, or a single computer. Whatever your requirements are for deployment, we are here to help you meet them.
  • Fast Ramp-Up: Modeled after well-known file sharing and storage capabilities, our UI is easy to use and will keep users coming back.
  • Store Files: Users are able to upload and store any type of content to create an “object”, assign classification markings, control each object’s discoverability across users, groups, and domains, and version each object or create copies within the cloud.
  • Share Files: Users can easily share files directly in a peer-to-peer manner with any other user in the system. Additionally, users are only able to access files if they have appropriate clearance.
  • Share Vaults: An easy-to-share interface allows users to quickly upload and collaborate on an entire “set” of documents of varying classifications with other users.
  • Collaborative Capability: Vault is Web Application Open Platform Interface (WOPI) compatible and works with open-source collaborative document editors like Collabora Online out of the box. With its WOPI interface, Vault provides an easy way to create and collaborate on a variety of document types, including but not limited to Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
  • Full Content Search: Enables users to quickly and easily find the right documents within their sphere of control.
